It shouldn't be as hard as it is to get professional, objective information on personal financial topics.

I'm a person with intimate knowledge of the Canadian financial services industry, which I have gained over the course of more than a decade working for major institutions in various facets of the industry, from asset management to investment banking to life insurance. I have all of the professional and academic background you might expect. As you also might expect, I still work in the business and my employer would not likely sanction this website were I to identify myself, which is the reason for my anonymity.
